WEATHER

Although the fishing season is our winter, the weather here is considerably hot. During the day, temperatures can range from 20 to 35 degrees Celsius (68 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit). Because we are in the mountains, usually our climate is not as humid or hot as that of the Brazilian Amazon. This also means that the nights are fresh and sometimes could be cold

INSECTS

The Bolivian Amazon is surprisingly friendly. There are few mosquitoes and quite a few gnats in the region. As for the other disturbing critters, note that we are in a virgin forest where spiders and other potentially dangerous insects live. We always advise to avoid going through dense vegetation in the jungle. We strongly recommend the use of long-sleeved shirts and long pants during the entire stay. The best way to protect you from insects is to apply repellent at least three times a day (morning, noon, and night). We also recommend washing clothes with Permethrin before traveling.

DOCS

A valid passport is mandatory for entry into Bolivia. Your passport must be valid for at least six month. From February 2021 on, visa is required  for American citizens (USA). For the most European countries no visa is required but we recommend visit http:
www.Bolivia-usa.org for checking if your country belong to group 1 (no visa required), group 2 (visa required) or group 3 (visa required). Bolivia is an easy procedure and we'll provide you everything you need to do it.

CURRENCY

The Bolivian peso is about 6.9 BOB per 1 U.S. dollar.
Dollar bills in Bolivia are only accepted in perfect, new condition, without breaks or marks.

INSURANCES

Our company and the helicopter company have insurance policies required to operate in Bolivia. Still, we strongly recommend that guests purchase cancellation insurance to cover any contingency that prevents travel.
