Clear Crystal Water, Wild Encounters
Week 9 brought exceptional weather and consistently good fishing from beginning to end.
With guests from the United States and Wales, the week combined crystal-clear water, strong sunshine, and active fish with a remarkable amount of wildlife along the river.
From tapirs to jaguars and other species encountered along the way, the river offered plenty of reasons to stop, look around, and take in the surroundings.

Mornings began with heavy mist before giving way to beautiful days of strong sunshine.
The water remained crystal clear throughout the entire week.
Catch of the Week
A Rat Fly from the Rocks
Ryan landed a large dorado using a rat imitation.
Standing on a rock, he cast toward a pocket on the opposite side of the river. Out of nowhere, a beautiful dorado appeared and took the fly, turning an apparently simple presentation into one of the week’s standout moments.

The Wildlife Along the River
The exceptional weather made it possible to spend long days on the water with clear visibility and plenty of activity along the river.
Among the week’s memorable encounters were sightings of tapirs, jaguars, and several other species, each offering a chance to stop fishing for a moment and simply share the river with the wildlife that surrounds it.
Looking Ahead
Crystal-clear water, strong sunshine, and active fish from beginning to end made this a week where everything the river had to offer was in plain sight, above and below the surface.
